The wildly successful online auctioneer is looking for a Java Infrastructure engineer to build and maintain parts of eBay's PayPal system. You need to have strong software design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Pros: The job is based in San Jose, Calif., the epicenter of the country's best tech jobs.
Cons: You have to have lived and breathed infrastructure for the past decade; applicants must have at least 10 years of experience.
Chief Financial Officer, Denver International Airport
The Denver airport is looking for someone to keep tabs on the more than $550 million it generates in revenue. You'll work closely with the city of Denver to adjust the airport's goals and capital improvements.
Pros: Denver's airport is the fifth busiest in the country so you won't be bored.
Cons: Few in the travel industry are feeling much love from the public these days.
